What to Expect on Sunday at Western Hills...
You can expect a relaxing, relational environment where you can get a cup of coffee, casually meet some new people, and grow closer to Jesus.
What to expect…
We think you’ll find our church to be very relational and down-to-earth. There is no need to wear a suit and tie to church here; just come as you are and come ready to seek God with your whole heart. If you want to know more about the things that happen in our church service, click here.
When do I show up?
Our service information is listed at the top of this page. If you have children who would like to participate in our children’s ministry, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the service.
What do I wear?
You’ll find that most of us are pretty casual – jeans, collared shirt, shorts, t-shirts, slacks, dresses – it’s all good. You won’t find many suits and ties though, but if that’s what you’re comfortable wearing, go for it!
What about parking?
Our primary parking lot is located on the north side of our campus. There are also places to park on the east side of the building. If those lots fill up, our overflow parking is located on the north side of the building across 43rd street.
If you park on the north side of the building, look for the large green canopy that says "Western Hills Church" – that's your entrance. If you park in the east parking lot, head up the ramp and into the south doors. When you come inside, our greeters will be ready to welcome you and point you to the coffee corner.

Where do I go once I arrive?
All of our services take place in the auditorium. As you come in, follow your nose to our coffee and tea station. Our coffee corner makes a great cup of Eote coffee. Be sure to stop by the Join a Group Wall: a beautiful display highlighting all the groups in our church. You can also visit the Connect Table where you will find more information about our church and ways you can connect with us.
Where do my kids go?
We take caring for your children extremely seriously, and safety is our number one priority. The mission of our Children's Ministry is to assist the parent(s) as they work to raise their children to be whole-hearted followers of Jesus.
When you arrive, visit the Children's Check-In Window to register all your children (newborn - 5th grade) for the Children's Ministry and to meet some of our incredible Children's Ministry volunteers!

We divide our Children’s Ministry into two primary groups: the nursery and the Bible Zone...
- The Bible Zone is for children PreK through the 5th grade. Bible Zone kids will stay with you for the beginning of the service as we sing songs together. After a time of worship and giving, the Bible Zone kids will be dismissed from the service to go with our team of Bible Zone workers. They will return with our staff to meet you in the auditorium before the service ends. (If you would like to visit the Bible Zone with your kids, just dismiss yourself with the children when they leave and introduce yourself to one of our friendly Bible Zone volunteers!)
- The nursery is for children newborn through almost PreK. Children visiting the nursery will check-in to their class before the service begins. Our friendly team will be ready to help you through the check-in process and find the right classroom.

What will it be like when I come?
Perhaps you have not spent much time in a church before. Let us prepare you in advance so you will understand the basics of what you will experience. Feel free to check out our “I’m New to Church” page for details and a brief explanation.
What is my Next Step?
After you attend a weekend service, we want to encourage you to sign up for our 101: Newcomers Class. During 101 you will enjoy some appetizers, meet a few members from our church, and learn about who we are and where we are going as a church. You can sign up for our next 101 class online.
You could also consider joining one of our groups. Our groups are where people make friends, build relationships, and learn more about Jesus together.
